Difference is an adaptation
Neurodiverse affirming counselling is a welcoming space for both diagnosed and undiagnosed individuals who experience the world in unique ways. It’s an approach that celebrates diverse ways of thinking, feeling, and being, while offering support for navigating sensory sensitivities, emotional regulation, relationships, and life transitions. Together, we co-create an affirming, compassionate environment that meets you where you are—whether you’re seeking clarity, connection, or strategies to support your journey.

Choosing a counsellor is personal. A free consultation gives you an opportunity to ask questions, share a little about what you're looking for, and get a sense of whether I might be a good fit
Areas of Interest
I have been working with neurodivergent folks for over 15 years. My work began in nature therapy, exploring how our environments influence sensory experiences and our relationship with the world around us. I then worked as an instructor and program coordinator at Vancouver Island University, supporting students as they navigated workplaces and workplace accommodations. Most recently, I have worked as a counsellor.
I also identify as neurodivergent myself. While my years of experience and lived experience have taught me a great deal, I certainly don’t have all the answers. Rather, they have deepened my curiosity, compassion, and respect for the many nuances of living as a neurodivergent person.
I genuinely love working with this community and remain deeply fascinated by the different ways neurodivergence shapes how we experience ourselves, our relationships, our environments, and our lives. My approach is grounded in both professional experience and lived experience, while recognizing that every person’s experience is uniquely their own.

Support for adults navigating ADHD, ADD, autism, or the intersection of autism and ADHD (AuDHD). Whether you are newly exploring neurodivergence or have known about it for years, counselling can help you better understand yourself, navigate challenges, reduce shame, and build a life that works with your brain rather than against it.
-
Whether you are considering an autism or ADHD diagnosis, have recently been diagnosed, or are questioning whether neurodivergence might help explain your experiences, counselling can offer a supportive space to explore what this possibility means for you.
-
Support for recovering from burnout, understanding what contributed to it, and exploring sustainable ways of living that respect your capacity, energy, sensory needs, and nervous system.
-
Explore the ways you may have learned to hide, suppress, or adapt parts of yourself to meet social expectations. Therapy can provide a space to understand masking, explore what unmasking might look like for you, and find ways to show up more authentically while still navigating the realities of daily life.
-
Support for understanding and navigating intense emotions, overwhelm, shutdown, meltdowns, and difficulty returning to a sense of balance. The goal isn't to suppress emotions, but to better understand what they are communicating and develop tools that work for you.
